Comments by LASEV Deputy Director Melissa Bonfiglio were recently featured in an article by The Virginian-Pilot’s Trevor Metcalfe about the heating problems experienced by residents of Calvert Square throughout October, November and December 2025.
Ms. Bonfiglio spoke at the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority’s December Board of Commissioners meeting and was quoted in the article.
The article also includes extensive comments from Calvert Square resident, Whitney Spearman. Ms. Spearman’s powerful testimony at the Board of Commissioners meeting referenced ongoing delays with maintenance in Calvert Square and with the failure of management to act on reported issues in a timely manner.
