Kristina “K.” Lauren, J.D., LL.M. (she/they) is a poverty law attorney who blends compassion with evidence-based reforms in service of victims of gender-based violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, and family abuse. Since being admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2019, she has pursued survivor-centered strategies that advance civil protections through both direct representation and systemic reform.
K. holds a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University, as well as a Juris Doctor, and an LL.M. in Human Rights with a policy focus on vacatur. Kristina is the former board president for the Virginia Coalition Against Human Trafficking and co-founded Survivor Network Virginia. She currently volunteers with the Center for Sexual Assault Survivors, Free Kind, and Transitions Family Violence Services.
When she’s not working, Kristina can be found writing, baking, or making music.
